How to change lockout Duration in Windows 10

As you know you can limit login attempt in Windows through gpedit.msc then it suggest you to change some value from default to your own. Account lockout duration is one of them and you can change the lockout duration from the same folder.

How to Change lockout Duration in Windows

  • If you are using group polcy supported edition then you can open it and if not then use excel sheet method.
  • After Opening Local Group policy edito navigate to Computer Configuration > Windows settings > Security settings >Account Policies >Account Lockout policy and Change Account Lockout duration entry in policy section.
  • Once you changed the policy settings, just reboot your system.
Now your Lockout duration as set as per your settings.
