How to Block Store Access for Other Accounts in Windows 10 Pro

Recently Microsoft has blocked administrator in Windows 10 Pro to prevent Store access for other users to increase the usability of Windows Store in Windows 10. Administrator in Windows 10 Pro version could block Windows Store access using Group Policy editor, but Microsoft made this change to increase actively usage of its Store apps. But Windows 10 Pro administrator user can still block access to other users by completely removing Windows 10 Store from the machine.
Windows Store app can be easily removed by admin using Powershell, but there are no real advantages of removing this app or any inbuilt Windows 10 app.

How to Block Access or Remove Windows Store app from Windows 10 Pro

  • Open Start Menu and Type "PowerShell."
  • Run it with administrator privilege.
  • Now type the following command to remove Windows 10 Store app.
Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage
There is no advantage of removing Windows Store account but in some cases the administrator has to prevent usage of apps can use this method to remove Windows 10 store app.
